Local Market Manager – Minneapolis, MN

This is a role for a strong marketer, focusing on reaching new users and extending the Cuttly brand to the masses.  As the lead for your city, you’ll also be responsible for operational excellence recruiting service providers and managing our provider network to ensure quality levels are maintained, your work will be diverse and challenging. You will be responsible for overseeing hundreds of service providers fulfilling thousands of jobs for happy Cuttly customers.  Customer support, local marketing, supply chain management, service quality management, social media, PR — all of these sit under the Local Market Manager.

  • Launch
    • Launch Cuttly in your city from the ground up
    • Cuttly Pro (Provider) Recruitment – find & sign up new Pros, set up interviews, leading on-boarding sessions and enhancing the local recruitment process
    • Plan and execute; inform the masses that Cuttly is available in your area.
    • Sell Cuttly services to potential customers through social media and any other marketing channel that works best for you.
    • Record and present key metrics of your sales success
  • Manage
    • Manage sales process and city operations
    • Provider Management – engaging with professionals to ensure high levels  of service
    • Communicate product/process needs to HQ, work with product/engineering to deliver on them and assist in intelligently scaling a vibrant business.
    • Tame upset customers and turn them into passionate evangelists. Respond to emails & support issues promptly.
  • Grow
    • Grow Cuttly in your city
    • Initiate creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns
    • Represent Cuttly at local events and with local PR
    • Marketing; plan, budget, create, negotiate with sponsors and implement on the ground events that drive brand awareness and new signups.
    • Strategize and execute on biz development plans for your city.
    • Monitor Twitter, Facebook & other relevant sites and actively participate in discussions across communities, social networks & blogs.
    • Identify new ways to get the Cuttly experience in front of new users.
    • Help scale our other cities through developing and sharing best practices
    • Continue to grow REVENUES for Cuttly and our local service providers!!!

  • Word savvy. You have exceptional writing skills and can craft everything from emails and blog posts to policies and summaries, easily adjusting your tone/voice accordingly.
  • You are self-aware, well-spoken on the phone and eloquent in emails. You’ll humbly be the voice of Cuttly.
  • You’re a charismatic people person who can talk to anyone; you’re flexible, fearless, and excited to help build something awesome and share it with the world.
  • You’re full of fresh ideas to generate new user signups and promote the brand.
  • You have the fear tolerance of a honey-badger



  • College degree in Marketing, Public Relations or similar degree is a plus, not required.
  • Robust/active online presence and social media ninja (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, WordPress, etc.).
  • Solid writing background; experience blogging and/or editing (grammar buffs wanted).
  • Influencer amongst your friends and community.
  • A proven track-record of executing successful projects.
  • Sales and business development experience.
  • Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen
  • Proven success in collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in achieving established objectives
